Behavioral Therapy
Advanced Study in Psychotherapy Leading to a Master's Degree
In the Master's program in Behavioral Therapy, offered in cooperation with the Austrian Society for Behavioral Therapy (ÖGVT), you will complete a scientifically grounded and practice-oriented training program to become a psychotherapist. You will learn about behavioral therapy as a modern, problem- and goal-oriented approach—based on psychological, social, biological, and learning theory principles.
You will deepen your understanding of classical cognitive-behavioral methods as well as current developments (e.g., mindfulness- and emotion-focused approaches, “third wave” methods) and strengthen your ability to integrate evidence-based research with the individual circumstances of clients. Through the close integration of theory, research, self-awareness, supervision, and case work, you will develop therapeutic skills and scientific thinking for psychotherapy at a professional standard.
