Diversity – and the debates surrounding it – is omnipresent globally and locally. It engages people in institutional, professional, and private contexts in highly heterogeneous ways. Anyone who seeks to shape developments, lead, or simply participate in informed discussion needs reliable information and systematic knowledge: how to contextualize diversity debates negotiated in public and private spheres, and how to align yur own actions with diversity competence.
The Certificate Program “Diversity Competence” – especially in times of rapid social change, growing polarization, and targeted disinformation – provides continuing education that enables you to grasp the complexity of the topic. In an anti-discriminatory, human-rights-oriented, participatory, and practice-oriented learning environment, you will gain an overview of historical developments, current debates, and discourses. In addition, you will strengthen a humanist, enlightenment-informed understanding of social diversity and your civic engagement.
