Risk Prevention and Disaster Management
Expertise when it counts
Disasters do not simply “happen.” They arise from the interplay of hazards, vulnerability, and a lack of resilience—and pose challenges for organizations, regions, and decision-makers alike. The Postgraduate Center at the University of Vienna offers a postgraduate program in close collaboration with the State Crisis and Disaster Management Agency (SKKM) of the Federal Ministry of the Interior.
The focus is on a holistic view of the risk cycle: from prevention and preparedness through response to recovery. You will learn to systematically analyze risks, effectively plan prevention and preparedness measures, and professionally manage crises.
Depending on your prior knowledge and individual goals, you can choose between the following program options: Master’s program, continuing education program, or certificate programs.
This program is offered in German. Need more information? Change the site language to German (top of page) for complete details.
