Integrative and Gestalt Therapy
Scientifically grounded. Practice-oriented. Future-focused.
In the specialized master’s program in “Integrative and Gestalt Therapy,” you will earn a scientifically grounded, practice-oriented qualification within the humanistic tradition, with a focus on integrative therapy or integrative Gestalt therapy. The master’s program is designed in accordance with the provisions of the 2024 Psychotherapy Act and combines philosophical foundations, evidence-based therapeutic factors, methodological competence, and professional identity development into a coherent overall profile.
You will deepen your knowledge of psychopathology, therapeutic theory, diagnostics, and intervention methods; reflect on legal and ethical frameworks; and further develop your therapeutic stance through a significant focus on self-awareness, triadic work, and supervision. Internships in psychiatric care gradually introduce you to professional practice.
A particular advantage of the program is its cooperation with the Austrian Working Group for Group Therapy and Group Dynamics (ÖAGG), which offers students a reliable perspective on securing a training place in the consecutive third phase of psychotherapy training (subject to personal suitability). Diversity, gender, and social sensitivity are integral components of the program.
