Clinical Pharmacy
Expertise in safe and effective medication
Clinical pharmacy refers to the branch of pharmacy that deals with the science and practice of rational pharmaceutical care. Clinical pharmacists work in a patient-centered manner, helping to optimize medication, promote health, and prevent disease. Clinical pharmacy is not synonymous with hospital pharmacy; rather, it is a subfield of both hospital pharmacy and community pharmacy. Ideally, it takes place in all healthcare settings.
Our continuing education programs in clinical pharmacy are designed for licensed pharmacists who wish to deepen their expertise in medication therapy. The focus is on medication analysis, medication management, and medication safety. You will expand your skills in structured case management, evidence-based assessment, and patient-centered communication.
