Your first step into the world of psychotherapy
The Bachelor’s program in “Basics of Psychotherapy” at the Postgraduate Center of the University of Vienna offers a solid academic education for anyone working in the psychosocial field and/or wishing to pursue training in psychotherapy. It includes the “Propaedeutic Program in Psychotherapy” as required by the soon-to-be-repealed Psychotherapy Act of 1990 and corresponds to the first stage of psychotherapy training under the Psychotherapy Act of 2024.
The program offers a comprehensive introduction to the central concepts of psychotherapy. It combines scientifically grounded content with practical experience and lays the foundation for further psychotherapy training.
